Wickramarachchi Opticians & Hearing Care opens its flagship store at the bustling Delkanda Junction in Colombo. This location continues to serve as the company’s main headquarters.

2004 – Sri Lanka’s First Cochlear Implant

Wickramarachchi Hearing Care introduces cochlear implant technology to Sri Lanka, laying the foundation for the country’s national cochlear implant program.

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Wickramarachchi Opticians & Hearing Care inaugurates Sri Lanka’s first Zeiss Vision Center, offering eye care services to international standards.

2021 – Partnership with GIZ

Wickramarachchi partners with GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH) and AHK Sri Lanka to deliver German-standard vocational training in optometry and for hearing-impaired youth. This program equips students with NVQ Level 3 and Level 5 qualifications, practical training, and pathways to employment.
