AHK Sri Lanka Rings in 2025 with a Glittering New Year Bash!
The Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Sri Lanka (AHK Sri Lanka) ushered in 2025 with an elegant New Year’s Reception at Colombo’s Taj Samudra Hotel on January 23. The event gathered over 300 representatives from leading German brands operating in Sri Lanka, alongside prominent business leaders and media professionals.
The occasion was honoured by the presence of Mr Tobias Pierlings, Director and Head of the Division for External Economic Policy South and Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), as the Chief Guest. Mr. Olaf Malchow, Deputy Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Colombo, also graced the event, reinforcing the strong economic ties between Sri Lanka and Germany and emphasizing opportunities for future collaboration.
In her address, Ms. Marie Antonia von Schönburg, Chief Delegate of AHK Sri Lanka, shared her vision for the year ahead:
